Kent won the Game of the Week, and he needed Monday night to do it. Down 0.30 to Will entering Giants–Rams, Kent got Malik Nabers and Harrison Mevis on the field and finished ahead 111.68 to 103.74. Three-tenths of a point became a 7.94-point win.
The week’s biggest number belonged to Dannie. He closed at 171.46, the highest score in either league, and it came in a real game — Wes finished 141.48 and still lost by 30.
League 1 results: Ben 142.98–57.98 over Mitchell, Darnell 122.22–114.68 over Alex, Austin 145.56–117.12 over Lil C, Cesar 141.68–99.42 over Josh, Payden 141.86–112.32 over Ryan, and Kent 111.68–103.74 over Will.
League 2 results: Ian 107.50–78.28 over Banz, Brett 143.82–129.22 over Jim, Miguel 108.36–98.08 over Justin, Dannie 171.46–141.48 over Wes, Jason 114.02–112.02 over Kyle, and Savage 103.28–87.24 over Kenneth.
Two games came down to two points or fewer. Jason beat Kyle by exactly 2.00, and Kent’s win over Will was 7.94 after he trailed into the final game. The widest margin was Ben over Mitchell by 85.00 — which is also the whole story of Mitchell’s week, because 57.98 was the lowest score in the 24-team field.
Six teams are 2-0: Ben, Cesar, Payden and Kent in League 1, plus Brett and Miguel in League 2. Six are 0-2: Mitchell, Ryan, Will and Lil C in League 1, plus Justin and Kenneth in League 2. Everyone else is 1-1 and still deciding what kind of season this is.
Week 3 starts with the unbeaten group under real pressure. Kent, Cesar, Payden and Ben all have to play someone, and one of them is going to blink.
