Payden has done the scoring. Mitchell is waiting for the kicking.

After a Sunday that produced enormous quarterback numbers and some deeply unhelpful benches, Payden leads Mitchell 132.92–119.16 in League 1. Harrison Butker is Mitchell’s remaining starter, putting the requirement at more than 13.76 fantasy points to move ahead, subject to scoring corrections. Payden’s lineup has no player in tonight’s game. “Boof’s #1 Hater” has submitted the paperwork; now Mitchell needs Kansas City to spend an evening stopping just short of the end zone. Wes has League 2’s closest deficit to chase on Monday. He trails Justin 134.04–100.50 but has Kenneth Walker III at running back and Rashee Rice in the flex. Their combined target is more than 33.54 points. Justin has Travis Kelce on his bench, so a Kelce touchdown would do Wes no favors without adding anything to Justin’s current lineup. Sunday’s biggest numbers traveled well

Chicago’s 59–37 win over Carolina, Baltimore’s 41–23 victory at Indianapolis and Buffalo’s 36–31 win at Houston supplied plenty of fantasy fuel. NFL results

Caleb Williams’ 41.26 fantasy points landed in two starting lineups that needed no explanation afterward. Josh sits at 142.06 against Will’s 97.96 in League 1, with Ashton Jeanty adding 32.70. Will still has Walker, but he needs more than 44.10 from him to pass Josh’s current total.

Jim also started Williams, then added 35.30 from Derrick Henry and 25.10 from Jonathan Taylor. That puts him at 156.36 against Kenneth’s 98.46, with Butker still to play. The kicker has a second job tonight: more than 3.26 points would move Jim above the current high score across both leagues.

That mark belongs to Miguel at 159.62. Bijan Robinson supplied 31.30, David Montgomery 28.90, Jalen Hurts 30.72 and Trey McBride 24.50 in a balanced assault on Dannie, who sits at 111.40. Miguel leads the clubhouse; there is no final weekly scoring crown to award yet.

Payden built his advantage over Mitchell with 30.72 from Hurts, 28.70 from Amon-Ra St. Brown and 27.80 from Isaiah Likely. That trio alone contributed 87.22. Mitchell got 31.30 from Bijan and 26.00 from Zay Flowers, but A.J. Brown and Terry McLaurin combined for only 9.00.

Darnell had a painful quarterback comparison on his bench: Josh Allen scored 39.66 while starter Lamar Jackson posted 26.96. The 12.70-point difference stings, but it does not explain away a 131.10–69.16 deficit to Cesar. Who else still has Monday business?

Ben leads Ryan 135.80–110.32 and has Jaylen Waddle starting. Kent leads Austin 123.00–113.80 with Rice still in his lineup. Lil C’s Bo Nix has a much harder assignment: Lil C trails Alex 122.16–81.60, and Alex still has Kelce and Denver’s defense scoring on the other side.

In League 2, Jason needs Nix and Waddle to close a 59.66-point deficit to Brett, who leads 137.36–77.70. Savage has Wil Lutz left while trailing Banz 140.36–71.66. Kyle leads Ian 127.74–105.96 with neither lineup carrying a Monday starter. These are live fantasy totals, including matchups whose starting players have finished; none has an official Week 1 winner yet.

The injury report matters before the next lineup

Flowers delivered 26.00 for Mitchell and Justin before leaving Baltimore’s game with a hamstring injury. The Ravens’ Monday update described him as day-to-day. That is encouraging, but it does not establish his Week 2 availability. Ravens update

Ladd McConkey’s chest injury is another starting-lineup concern for Ryan and Miguel after his 19.20-point outing. Dylan Sampson’s ankle injury affects a bench option for Darnell and Brett, while Kyler Murray’s concussion affects a bench quarterback for Darnell and Ian. Thursday comes quickly

Detroit visits Buffalo on Thursday, September 17 at 8:15 p.m. EDT. Week 2 schedule

Brett currently holds both Allen and Jahmyr Gibbs, making that opener especially relevant before his scheduled Week 2 meeting with Jim. League 1 brings Mitchell versus Ben and Cesar versus Josh. There is barely time to absorb the opener before the next lineup starts locking.

First comes Kansas City. Mitchell needs Butker to rescue a matchup; Jim needs the same kicker to chase the scoring lead. Wes would prefer the Chiefs finish their drives with Walker and Rice. One offense, three very different rooting interests.
