Jim opened the season with 163.16 points and left Kenneth 64.70 behind. Payden had considerably less room to celebrate: his 132.92–125.96 win over Mitchell was decided by 6.96, the smallest margin across all 12 BakaBois matchups. One week in, the two leagues already have their first scoring leaders, their first hard-luck losers and plenty of lineup decisions waiting for Wednesday.

League 1: Josh sets the pace, Payden escapes

Josh's 142.06 was League 1's highest score, built around Caleb Williams' 41.26, Ashton Jeanty's 32.70 and Jonathan Taylor's 25.10. He needed a strong week to beat Will, whose 132.06 would have beaten six of the league's other eleven teams. Instead, Will took a 10.00-point loss despite 63.00 combined from Kenneth Walker III and David Montgomery.

Ben finished next on the scoring list at 137.00, beating Ryan's 110.32 by 26.68. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Javonte Williams and Dallas Goedert each cleared 23 points, while Bucky Irving added 20.30. Ben also had Christian Watson's 32.70 sitting on the bench. Ryan had his own expensive spectator: Jalen Coker's 33.80, a performance that makes the Week 2 receiver decision worth watching without pretending a hindsight lineup was guaranteed.

Alex beat Lil C 134.26–89.04 as Derrick Henry and Justin Jefferson combined for 66.50. Kent handled Austin 132.90–113.80 behind 100.10 from Trevor Lawrence, Jahmyr Gibbs and D'Andre Swift. Kent finished just 0.02 below Payden's total, although their separate games had very different margins.

Payden's escape came with 30.72 from Jalen Hurts, 28.70 from Amon-Ra St. Brown and 27.80 from Isaiah Likely. Mitchell answered with 31.30 from Bijan Robinson, 26.00 from Zay Flowers and 20.40 from Kyle Monangai, but fell 6.96 short. Mitchell has enough running-back production to threaten people; this week he mostly threatened the calculator.

Cesar delivered League 1's widest win, 131.10–69.16 over Darnell, a 61.94-point gap. Olave, Brock Purdy and DJ Moore combined for 76.30. Darnell could have doubled his total and still finished below Josh. Josh Allen's 39.66 and Jaxson Dart's 32.60 were both on Darnell's bench, but one quarterback slot means that collection could only solve one part of the problem.

All six League 1 winners cleared 130. The 0-1 side includes Will at 132.06 and Mitchell at 125.96, so the opening records leave out some useful context.

League 2: Jim and Miguel clear the field

Jim's 163.16 led both leagues. Caleb Williams, Henry and Taylor combined for 101.66, and Kenneth's 98.46 left a 64.70-point margin, the largest of the week. Miguel was the only other owner above 150, beating Dannie 159.62–111.40. His five leading starters each reached 19.20, spreading the work beyond any one breakout.

Banz was almost as ruthless as Jim, beating Savage 140.36–75.76. The 64.60-point margin was just a tenth smaller than Jim's. Jeanty, Jefferson and Olave combined for 92.10, while Savage finished with no starter above Mike Evans' 16.90. Coker's 33.80 on Savage's bench now gives the lineup a possible answer, subject to the ankle update below.

Wes had League 2's closest win, 144.50–134.04 over Justin. Walker, Swift and Watson combined for 99.20. Justin's 134.04 outscored six of his eleven league rivals and was the highest losing score across BakaBois, but the actual draw still cost him by 10.46.

Brett beat Jason 137.36–86.34, a 51.02-point margin, behind Allen's 39.66 and Gibbs' 33.60. Kyle rounded out the winners with a 127.74–105.96 victory over Ian. Goedert led Kyle at 23.70, and all seven of his offensive starters contributed at least 8.90. The 21.78-point cushion was earned across the lineup.

The first BakaBois power rankings

This is an editorial ranking of all 24 teams, separate from the official standings. The opening order starts with scoring and record, then considers how production is spread across the starters, available bench options, current lineup choices and confirmed availability concerns. Both leagues use comparable scoring and lineup settings. With only one game played, this is an early assessment, not a forecast or a mathematical rating.

Every team is New this week: this is the first edition, so there are no invented risers or fallers. The roster check reflects Tuesday at 1:21 p.m. Eastern; those early Week 2 lineups can still change.

1. Jim — League 2 | 1-0 | 163.16 PF | New

The highest total in either league earns the opening No. 1. Caleb Williams, Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor supplied 101.66 points, and Chuba Hubbard's 23.70 on the bench adds a real alternative behind that core.

2. Miguel — League 2 | 1-0 | 159.62 PF | New

Five starters reached 19.20 or better in a 159.62-point win, the broadest high-end production at the top. McConkey's ribs need monitoring, but Hurts, Bijan Robinson, David Montgomery and Trey McBride already gave this lineup several ways to win.

3. Josh — League 1 | 1-0 | 142.06 PF | New

League 1's scoring leader got 99.06 from Caleb Williams, Ashton Jeanty and Jonathan Taylor. The opening win carries more weight because it required beating Will's 132.06, though the two starting receivers combined for only 13.00.

4. Banz — League 2 | 1-0 | 140.36 PF | New

Jeanty, Justin Jefferson and Chris Olave combined for 92.10, with Cam Skattebo adding 14.10. Matthew Golden's 15.50 from the Week 1 bench gives the current flex choice substance beyond the four biggest names.

5. Brett — League 2 | 1-0 | 137.36 PF | New

Josh Allen's 39.66 and Jahmyr Gibbs' 33.60 make a compelling foundation; DJ Moore added 21.00. That trio supports this placing, while Brian Thomas Jr.'s availability still deserves attention before the next lineup locks.

6. Ben — League 1 | 1-0 | 137.00 PF | New

Five offensive starters reached 15.50 or better even with Matthew Stafford at 4.10 and Jaylen Waddle at 1.20. Christian Watson scored 32.70 on the bench and now appears in the early Week 2 lineup: there is more usable depth than the 137.00 total alone suggests.

7. Wes — League 2 | 1-0 | 144.50 PF | New

The field's third-highest total deserves respect, but 99.20 came from Walker, Swift and Watson. Stafford and Fannin combined for 8.20, leaving a narrower scoring base than Ben's; Jordan Love's 23.48 on the bench offers another quarterback option.

8. Alex — League 1 | 1-0 | 134.26 PF | New

Henry and Jefferson delivered 66.50 of a convincing 134.26-point win. Rhamondre Stevenson's 14.50 supplied useful support, and the current lineup retains the same offensive starters rather than needing a wholesale rescue.

9. Payden — League 1 | 1-0 | 132.92 PF | New

Hurts, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Isaiah Likely combined for 87.22 in the closest win of the week. Skattebo's 14.10 helps, but getting more from the Hampton-Pollard portion of the lineup would reduce the reliance on that leading trio.

10. Cesar — League 1 | 1-0 | 131.10 PF | New

The 61.94-point win was comfortable, and Olave, Purdy and DJ Moore carried the scoring. Mike Evans and Parker Washington supplied 16.90 and 19.30 on the bench, giving Cesar useful receiver choices beyond the nine starters who won Week 1.

11. Kent — League 1 | 1-0 | 132.90 PF | New

Lawrence, Gibbs and Swift accounted for 100.10 of 132.90 points. That is a strong launch, with Mahomes available behind Lawrence, but the lineup needs more spread after Kittle, the kicker and the defense combined for just 0.20.

12. Will — League 1 | 0-1 | 132.06 PF | New

A 0-1 record undersells a 132.06-point opener that outscored six league rivals. Walker and Montgomery produced 63.00; the gap to the winning tier is the 8.70 combined from Chase and London plus Loveland's zero, rather than a lack of scoring at every position.

13. Justin — League 2 | 0-1 | 134.04 PF | New

The 134.04-point loss is the strongest losing total across the two leagues. Likely's 27.80 and Flowers' 26.00 carried a lot of that, so Flowers' hamstring tempers the ranking; Purdy's 27.10 on the bench gives an alternative to Mayfield's 11.64.

14. Kyle — League 2 | 1-0 | 127.74 PF | New

Seven offensive starters all reached at least 8.90, led by Goedert's 23.70 and Goff's 20.44. That balance and a 1-0 start place Kyle above several more top-heavy rosters, even though the 127.74 total was the lowest among League 2's winners.

15. Mitchell — League 1 | 0-1 | 125.96 PF | New

Bijan Robinson, Flowers and Kyle Monangai delivered 77.70 in a 6.96-point loss. A.J. Brown's IR placement and Flowers' hamstring now complicate the receiver group; the current lineup has Sutton in for Brown, so the healthy backfield has to anchor the response.

16. Austin — League 1 | 0-1 | 113.80 PF | New

McBride, Nico Collins and Breece Hall supplied 65.50, keeping a solid core visible inside the 113.80 loss. Price and Lloyd combined for 11.50, and Henderson's return is still unresolved, so the immediate question sits in the other running-back and flex spots.

17. Dannie — League 2 | 0-1 | 111.40 PF | New

Smith-Njigba and Javonte Williams combined for 50.40; Kyle Monangai's 20.40 on the bench is another useful option. The 48.22-point losing margin says more about drawing Miguel than it does about a team that still scored 111.40.

18. Ryan — League 1 | 0-1 | 110.32 PF | New

Chase Brown, McConkey and Garrett Wilson all reached 13.90, but Maye and Ferguson combined for 14.42. Coker's 33.80 bench performance makes him worth considering if his ankle permits; McConkey's rib update adds a second receiver decision.

19. Ian — League 2 | 0-1 | 105.96 PF | New

Lamar Jackson and Bucky Irving supplied 47.26 of 105.96 points. Chase and London combined for 8.70, leaving too much of the offense concentrated elsewhere; the current Kittle-for-Andrews lineup choice also needs to produce before it earns extra credit.

20. Lil C — League 1 | 0-1 | 89.04 PF | New

Hubbard scored 23.70 on the bench and is already in the early Week 2 starting group, a concrete path away from the 89.04 opener. The quarterback spot remains unsettled after Nix's 7.44 and Darnold's injury, so the receiver names alone cannot carry this ranking.

21. Jason — League 2 | 0-1 | 86.34 PF | New

Amon-Ra and Nico Collins supplied 49.90 of just 86.34 points. Deebo Samuel and Stefon Diggs scored 18.00 and 15.50 on the bench, respectively, but the current lineup still needs more from running back, quarterback and flex; Bowers is not yet a confirmed returning fix.

22. Kenneth — League 2 | 0-1 | 98.46 PF | New

Hall, Daniels and McCaffrey combined for 55.26, but the opener finished below 100. Brown's IR placement removes a receiver option, and the captured Week 2 lineup still has an unfilled receiver slot; that is an immediate task, not a prediction that it stays empty.

23. Savage — League 2 | 0-1 | 75.76 PF | New

A 75.76-point opener puts this roster near the bottom, with Loveland's zero and little support behind Evans and Burrow. Coker's 33.80 bench outing is already reflected in the early flex selection, but his ankle and an unfilled defense slot both need attention.

24. Darnell — League 1 | 0-1 | 69.16 PF | New

Last after 69.16, with no non-quarterback starter above Golden's 15.50. Allen's 39.66 and Dart's 32.60 sat behind Lamar's 26.96, but quarterback alternatives alone cannot repair the rest of a lineup that needs several positions to contribute.

Availability that matters before Week 2

Tuesday's watch list combines the current rosters with dated reports. A Monday update or an ESPN flag is not a final Sunday game designation.

  • Mitchell and Justin: Zay Flowers. Baltimore's September 14 update describes Flowers as day-to-day with a hamstring injury. He remains in both owners' early starting groups. After 26.00 fantasy points in Week 1, his practice progress matters to two lineups near the middle of the rankings. Ravens update.
  • Miguel and Ryan: Ladd McConkey. Jim Harbaugh called McConkey day-to-day with a rib injury in Monday's Chargers update. Both owners currently have him starting after his 19.20-point opener; neither should read that description as a Week 2 clearance. Chargers update.
  • Savage and Ryan: Jalen Coker. Coker told the Panthers on September 14 that the boot after his rolled ankle was precautionary and that he did not expect to miss time. That is his expectation, not a game designation. Savage currently has him at flex; Ryan has him on the bench. His 33.80-point Week 1 outing explains the interest. Panthers update.
  • Mitchell and Jason: Brock Bowers. Reporting from Monday's Raiders press conference has Klint Kubiak describing Bowers as day-to-day with the knee issue. He is on both benches, and a Week 2 return remains unresolved. Mitchell currently has Michael Mayer at tight end; Jason has T.J. Hockenson. Sam Gordon's firsthand report.
  • Austin and Brett: TreVeyon Henderson. Mike Vrabel said Monday that Henderson would probably try to do some work and the club would see where he stood. That supports monitoring him, not declaring a full practice or a return. Both owners currently have him on the bench. Patriots transcript.
  • Mitchell and Kenneth: A.J. Brown. New England placed Brown on injured reserve September 12. That is an existing availability problem, not a new Tuesday diagnosis. Mitchell's current lineup has Courtland Sutton in his place; Kenneth's captured lineup still has a vacant receiver slot to fill. Patriots transaction.
  • Darnell and Brett: Dylan Sampson. Cleveland's Monday report identifies a knee injury from Sunday and says evaluation was continuing, with more information expected Wednesday. Sampson is on both benches. .

Week 1 belongs to Jim's ceiling, Josh's League 1 pace and Payden's narrow escape. The next test is less glamorous: turn the good bench options into sound lineup decisions, resolve the injury questions and make the first result mean something beyond one Tuesday's screenshot.
