Privacy policy

BakaBois is a fantasy league website and history platform. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit bakabois.net, sign in, connect a league, or publish a league website.

Google sign-in

When you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, and basic profile information such as your name and profile picture. We use this information to create and authenticate your BakaBois account, associate your leagues with you, and provide account support and security. Our sign-in does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Calendar. We do not receive your Google password.

Supabase provides our account authentication and database services. Account information and sign-in sessions are stored to keep you signed in and recognize your account when you return.

League information and connections

We process league information you provide or authorize us to import, including league and team names, manager identifiers, rosters, matchups, scores, standings, and available season history. We also store your website settings and content you submit. We use this data to provide your league pages, archives, and enabled features.

For a private ESPN connection, you sign in through a hosted browser provided by Browserbase. Your ESPN password is entered into ESPN’s sign-in flow, rather than sent to the BakaBois application server. The hosted browser can retain authenticated session state so we can perform imports you authorize. We store connection details and import results; private connections and archives are associated with the account that created them.

Connecting a private league does not change its privacy setting in ESPN. Publishing a public league website makes the information displayed on that website available to visitors. Only connect or publish league information you are authorized to use.

Website activity and cookies

We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security, and preferences. Hosting and service providers process technical information such as requests, IP addresses, and error logs to operate and protect the service. We use Vercel Analytics for basic website usage measurement. Analytics are disabled on private league archive and private connection pages.

How information is shared

We share information with providers that operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Browserbase for hosted ESPN connections. If you use an AI-assisted content feature, its prompts and relevant league content may be processed by the AI provider used for that feature.

We do not sell your Google account information or use it for advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to address abuse or security incidents, or as needed to protect users and the service. Content published on a public league website can be viewed and shared by others.

Your choices and data retention

You can disconnect a saved ESPN connection in your connection settings. Disconnecting removes the saved connection; it does not automatically delete previously imported league history. You can also remove BakaBois access from your Google account’s third-party connections settings. Removing Google access does not itself delete your BakaBois account or saved league data.

We retain account and league information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain requested archives, and meet security or legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account or data. We may need to verify ownership before acting. Backup copies and records needed for security or legal reasons may remain after deletion from the active service.

Updates

We will update this page when our practices change and identify the effective date above. Material changes that require additional consent will be presented before that information is used in a new way.
